The ethical issue emerging from the improper recycling of technological devices is pollution. Pollution has become a global problem leading to global warming and the extinction of species. It is also ethically bad because it destroys the environment, which human beings depend on. When technological devices such as mobile phones and computers are recycled, they are broken or put under high temperatures to extract valuable metals and plastics. In countries where electronic recycling plants are not enclosed, harmful gasses and substances get their way into the air and water bodies (Kumar & Singh, 2019). For example, the burning of circuit boards in an open place can cause the emission of beryllium cadmium and mercury (Kumar & Singh, 2019).
