Companies can take one of four approaches to compensation. Explain why this approach is the best approach.

The home-country-based approach. The objective of a home-based compensation program is to equalize the employee to a standard of living enjoyed in his or her home country. The 2016 Cartus Global Mobility Policy & Practices Survey found that 76 percent of long-term assignments and 75 percent of short-term assignments use a home country pay structure.1 Under this system, the employee’s base salary is broken down into four general categories: taxes, housing, goods and services, and discretionary income.

If the company wants to retain the organizational culture of the parent company in all of the subsidiaries, then expatriates would be the best source of employees. It is because the host country nationals cannot build the organizational culture of the parent company since they have never worked for the company. Previously, certain behavior by foreign nationals and at times, the United States citizens would have gotten looked at as innocent and unsuspicious. Their dance routines were unique and complicated, something that made me look out of place. My parents, siblings, and all other tourists noticed the struggle I was going through trying to mimic their dancing routines. Rather than encourage me, they all burst out laughing. Mateein’s intimate association with the group might have prompted his killings at the Pulse night club on June 12, 2015 (BBC News, 2016). IS encourages its members to commit Jihad every Ramadan, an Islamic holy war that involves the murder of non-Islam individuals for political reasons. In 2014, the FBI had interrogated Mateen for his involvement with Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, an IS Islam extremist who later executed a suicide bombing, which had resulted in several deaths (BBC News, 2016). Party attenders at Pulse, who had witnessed the murder, reported that Omar had pledged allegiance to IS while carelessly shooting his victims. I agree with the court’s decision in the copyright infringement proceedings pitting the plaintiff, Winstead, against Jackson, the defendant. The court reasoned that a claim of copyright infringement could only succeed if there is substantial similarity between the infringing work and the copied work. The decision was correct because numerous common themes thrive in the creative industry. Therefore, it is not feasible for one to copyright such broad, abstract concepts. Copyright should only serve to protect the unique expression of an idea through specific words instead of preventing other people from creating similar themes.
