Today, American culture is evolving positively when it comes to workplace expectations. It is because employees are more satisfied in their workplaces. Also, considering how most organizations are becoming innovative and productive, it is clear that employees are more willing to commit themselves to achieve the goals of the organization where they work. However, I think that the satisfaction and willingness to work come from the positive employee expectations in workplaces. Due to current laws and ethics, employees expect that employers cannot deny them the opportunity to work for the organization on the basis of racial, color, or age discriminations (Hayter, 2018). Current laws and ethics have pushed many employers to offer more workplace benefits that help them retain employees. For instance, some employers implement health benefit plans that cover employees’ expenses whenever they get sick. Such initiatives make employees more willing to continue working for an organization.
