It is vital that as a social worker, the aim is not only to get the patient well but to ensure that after recovery, the patient is empowered. An efficient social worker possesses interpersonal skills that will enable them to interact personally with their patients. For instance, a social worker should be able to establish a relationship with the patient by gaining their trust.
