Previously, companies contracted human labor to perform tasks, such as manual filing of organizational documents, procurement of essentials by physically visiting sellers, and loading and offloading products in warehouses. Today, InfoTech has enabled firms to replace manual labor with elements, such as robots, IoT, and automated vehicles. Companies no longer require visiting sellers for procurement purposes because the former can transact over the internet. Robots can now perform tasks delegated to manual laborers five times faster and more efficiently (International Telecommunication Union, 2018). Moreover, electronic storage of documents has replaced secretaries who were employed to perform manual filing. Network administrators have the mandate to ensure that introduced technology works effectively and efficiently.
