As alluded to in the introductory part of the paper, aging can be defined from three perspectives: biologic, sociologic, and psychological. Biological theories of aging fall into two main categories: programmed and damage theories (Kennedy-Malone et al., 2018). The programmed ones argue that aging adheres to a biological timetable. This form of aging encompasses the biologically changes a person begins to experience as their time on earth progresses (Kennedy-Malone et al., 2018). The damage theories argue that environmental assaults on people that occasion cumulative damage at various levels leads to aging. Human bodies are made up of cells, all easily replaced during a person’s younger years.
