When registered nurses (RN) graduate from college, they apply for nursing positions in their choice clinics. Nurse executives must use wise decision-making during face-to-face RN candidate interviews to determine best-fit interviewees. Similarly, decision-making helps nurse executives recommend RNs to be fired for gross misconduct after reviewing their performances (Weiss & Tappen, 2015). Therefore, nurse leaders use decision-making to identify which nursing staff clinical facilities should retain or fire to enhance patient care quality.
