The information presented in this article can help me improve my practice. The ultimate goal of the study done by Austin et al. (2005) was to change organizational behavior to improve employee and customer safety within the restaurant. Furthermore, the intervention formulated by Austin et al. (2005) helped the restaurant’s dishwashers and servers improve their task completion performance. As a behavior analyst, I will be expected to work with clients to help them achieve their goals. One of the techniques I will be using will be task analysis. Austin et al. (2005) demonstrated that task analysis followed by an appropriate intervention could help improve employees’ chances of correctly completing their tasks. As such, when using the task analysis technique, I will ensure that I propose an effective intervention that will help employees better complete their tasks and achieve their goals.
