Answer preview
As the facilitator initiating the change, it has been crucial utilizing negotiation and persuasion skills to convince the patients and the healthcare workers of the need to embrace the treatment intervention (Hackman, 2017). One compelling reason that has been used to reinforce the need to change is the statistics mentioned above showing that dementia will be a significant problem in the future, with 115 million being affected by 2050 (Bahar-Fuchs et al., 2019). Giving these statistics has been essential to raise awareness that the patients should not wait to be part of those numbers. The second reason is that healthcare worker supporting the change is a practical approach to improving patient satisfaction. Still, it has been strategic to encourage the healthcare workers to be leaders in steering quality healthcare, improving the facility’s reputation and patient outcomes.
