Answer preview

The African American culture represents Negros, blacks, or black Americans from African descent.  The population of Africans ended up in America due to the forced trade activities that took place between the years 1619 and 1860 (Purnell & Paulanka, 2013). Slave owners did not allow African Americans to practice their cultural beliefs, for they wanted them to adopt the American culture. However, with the abolition of slavery during the 1865 civil war, this granted blacks liberty to migrate from the American south, which was highly insecure to the urban area in the north. The north had more opportunities for growth and development. With the civil rights movements, African Americans practiced their highly valued religious traditions and freely spoke black dialect or African American English (AAE).(721words)
