## Nonparametric tests

chi-square-tests-and-examples

The purpose of this discussion is to allow you to consider how nonparametric tests are used and how two types of chi-square tests compare. To do this, you will need to explain statistical concepts and assess assumptions, limitations, and implications associated with statistical tests.

Requirements: 500 words

Please make a referece to this chapter

The chi-square test of independence is used to determine the relationship between two variables. Therefore, it is used when we have an idea that the two variables are not connected. The test helps us decide whether our assumptions are plausible (Nominal Data and the Chi-Square Tests. P, 11). For example, when one wants to determine the relationship between education level and marital status within a particular ethnic group. We will collect data based on divorcee and their levels of education, while on the other hand, we will have the number of married couples and their education level. Based on our data, we will check how many divorced people have a degree and how many married couples have a degree. Based on the results, it is possible to determine whether the level of education is related to marital status.

What is demonstrative evidence, and why is it used to clarify issues in trials?
What is the difference between direct evidence and circumstantial evidence? Explain.
What is the concept of overwhelming circumstantial evidence? Explain.
Can circumstantial evidence be enough for a conviction? Why or why not?

Requirements: 3 to 4 pages

here is the textbook for the course for a reference – Garland, N. (2019). Criminal Evidence (8th Edition). McGraw-Hill Higher Education (US).

The paper will need an introduction and conclusion as well. We are to use APA 7th addistion

Demonstrative evidence refers to proof presented to the jury and judges that lack probative value. However, it is essential to enhance the oral testimonies provided by witnesses, defendants, and plaintiffs. It clarifies the testimonies and offers a visual image to the triers of facts. Demonstrative evidence supports facts presented in a trial using models, tools, and pictures (May et al., 2014). The prosecutors will connect the substance of the oral information provided with demonstrative proof. The visual image obtained from this correlation will be applied in the deliberation of the case. It is a form of suggestive evidence that helps comprehend the entire case.

5 Stages of Second Language Acquisition | Resilient Educator

Introduction to Language | Boundless Psychology (lumenlearning.com)

The humanist theory of learning was pioneered by theorists like Abraham Maslow, James F. T Bugenta, and Carl Rogers in the early 1900s (Bransford et al. 2006). The theory was developed to respond to the common education theories, including psychoanalysis and behaviorism at the time.

An Activity, Strategy, Or Resource to Promote This Learning Theory Within Your Classroom

One of the strategies that the educators need to apply humanist learning theory in their classroom is rewarding the learners’ efforts but not an outcome (Resilient educator. 2018, December 24). This helps the teachers to offer equal opportunities for all children, even for those students who do not perform well. Another method is to evaluate the learners’ needs and wants regularly. It helps the educator fashion learning that will address the individual needs of each student. Also, the teacher needs to establish emotional support for all the learners.

## Regional crime scene

Assignment Details

You have worked in a regional crime scene unit for four years. The team recently hired three graduates from a Professional Certification Organization for Crime Scene Investigators. The three graduates’ specialties are firearms identification, blood spatter pattern analysis, and fingerprint comparison. You have been working under their respective specialty supervisors for several years and have been involved in research and live case work.

They have never testified on their own as expert witnesses and they have come to you asking what the credentials are to become an expert witness in a case and who makes the decision that they are an expert witness for that trial.

They also want to know, once they are found to be an expert witness in a trial, does it mean they are automatically considered to be an expert for the same subject in the next trial that they must testify in?

Requirements: 300 or more words

here is the course textbook for reference – Garland, N. (2019). Criminal Evidence (8th Edition). McGraw-Hill Higher Education (US).

Expert witnesses perform two major functions. The first one is the scientific function, which entails gathering, testing, assessing evidence, and coming up with an opinion of the analyzed evidence (Garland, 2019). The second one is the forensic function, which revolves around communicating the opinion formed courtesy of the scientific function to a judge and jury (Garland, 2019). As a rule of evidence, witnesses can only testify about what they encountered or observed via their 5 senses (Garland, 2019). Numerous expert witness opportunities exist in the country, especially for people with advanced expertise in any field. Furthermore, an individual’s role as an expert witness during the trial will not solely rely on their qualifications and credentials within a particular discipline but also on the nature of the case.

## Curriculum development

As school districts across the nation address societal demands and legislative mandates to prepare a workforce for the 2lst century, school leaders find themselves working to change curriculum within their schools. To achieve this challenging, sometimes controversial task of curriculum alignment and revision, school leaders must work with diverse constituencies to achieve the best balance of needs, desires, appropriate assessment, and instruction.Achieving effective curriculum revision, therefore, requires a thorough understanding of the processes and principles of the changing paradigms affecting curriculum development.

Curriculum development is viewed as occurring on a variety of levels beginning with the classroom and moving through a spectrum to include national and international sectors. Each level in ascending order exercises authority over preceding levels. Sectors are distinguished from levels because sectors have no or limited power over the five levels. Forces outside of schools also influence curriculum decision making.

Discussion:

Identify & describe a curriculum revision that has taken place in your organization/school/district in the last 5 years. Based on your readings regarding the curriculum change process, address the following questions in your discussion.

Requirements: 2 pages

One of the major factors that had the most significant impact on the program’s success is the five-step process of placing and identifying EL students. The process aimed to identify and place EL students in the right language program to provide them with quality and equitable education. Secondly, the program had a grading system that enabled the school and teachers to monitor the success of EL students. Thirdly, the program was also designed to identify EL students with special gifts and talents and provide the right guidance and mentorship. The district’s human resource office ensured that the right teachers with adequate qualifications were hired to implement and monitor the program.

## Cultural Competence

Create a proposal for your principal regarding the role your school plays in recognizing, celebrating, and incorporating culture into the learning environment.

Create 4-6 sentences in each area below of your “pitch” to the principal. You are welcome to search the internet, but your proposal must include the following six areas that are also presented in the Colorin Colorado article:

1. Discovering Information about Community and Student Cultures
2. Connecting with ELL Families
3. Communicating Important Information
4. Increasing Parent Participation

Requirements: 4-6 sentences per each area.

Communicating important information and reducing the power differential between teachers and learners helps create a nurturing environment. In a more diversified classroom, the teacher should act as a facilitator and not an instructor. Allowing students to share their reading materials enables them to interact and share their culture by sharing their thoughts and ideas that are important to their cultural and social perspectives. Increasing parent participation can make a big difference in all members involved. That will help families feel like they are members of the school and know that the school is a big part of the community. That is more important for immigrant families who may feel excluded due to the English language needed to participate in the school environment. According to Breiseth, Robertson, & LaFond (2011), encouraging parents as leaders through participating in different activities

Capstone Week 2 Assignment

• In this course, you will complete a Capstone paper in which you apply your critical thinking skills to an issue or problem for which you will create a research question. As you develop your research question your goal is to 1) learn about something you do not know now; 2) identify something doable; and 3) be specific enough that you can gather data and literature about a topic for which there is not already a definitive conclusion. During your review of the literature relevant to your research question, you will integrate current, scholarly articles that represent various perspectives regarding your research question. Then, you will synthesize the information you integrated by identifying the patterns and themes across the articles, as they relate to your research question.
• This week, you will practice evaluating examples of critical thinking. You will examine current, scholarly articles and evaluate the first two elements of critical thinking—integration and synthesis.
• and use the “APA Course Paper Template (APA 7)” for this Assignment.

Assignment (2–3 pages, not including title page and resources page)

For the two current, scholarly articles you selected, contrast the evidence of integration and synthesis between the two articles, including in your description how well they meet the rigor of integration and synthesis:

## Students’ developmental and learning

Organizing instructional plans that generate student/learner interest and foster their participation is an important concern in the teaching and learning processes.

Attention to students’ developmental and learning preferences can help to ensure that students/learners become more involved in the lessons and activities that are designed for them.

Discussion

2. Now discuss the key aspects that are important to consider when planning lesson/course delivery at a distance? Note: consider both fully Online as well as a Hybrid situation
1. Include how Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy (Links to an external site.) can be useful in lesson planning?

Requirements: 3 paragraph

chapter 9 and 10

Additionally, since learners have access to course materials, instructors should ensure they give them questions they cannot locate the word-for-word answers from the course material. Educators should also consider including concrete examples when teaching entirely online and in hybrid learning environments (Sumeracki, 2020). Concrete information is easier for students to remember than abstract information. Educators should also consider providing ongoing constructive feedback to students (Tingley, n.d.). Doing this not only helps students identify improvement areas but also makes them feel part of the learning community (Tingley, n.d.). Ensuring students are exposed to an authentic learning experience is vital during online course delivery. Since most students are interested in digital learning opportunities, bloom’s digital taxonomy can be a valuable tool for lesson planning (Bianco & Fussell, 2021).

## Assessment and the Curriculum

In the past, evaluating instruction was generally perceived to take place at the end of the instructional process. However, evaluation that takes place during the process of instruction, referred to as formative assessment (Links to an external site.), provides important evidence and data for reteaching, accelerating, and/or providing additional learning experiences through various modes. Summative evaluation (Links to an external site.) comes at the end of instruction in the form of final exams, unit exams, or end of course exams.

Instructors should remember that there are numerous other techniques other than testing for evaluating student performance.

Discussion:

As an instructional leader, how will you influence the appropriate development and implementation of assessments followed by the use of assessment data to inform instructional practices?

1. Be sure you cite your text book or at least 2 other sources and add resources at end.
2. Be sure to respond to at least 2 classmates posts.
