As a social worker, I have an ethical right to shunning social injustices. In this regard, the first approach in my action plan is informing my clients regarding the Mayor’s potential threats. My next step is telling the Mayor of the importance of promoting social justice by embracing the homeless group’s advocacy measures. The other action would be presenting facts showing cases of the homeless who the police have violated. My decision to solve this problem is to actualize the plan using my social work skills, mainly sensitive communication and skillful negotiation with the Mayor and the city council representatives (McCartney, & Parent, 2018). In the process, knowing my professional obligations as a social worker of seeking social justice would help me make a considerable case of negotiating the shelter needs for the homeless.
