Data mining is the technique of tracing anomalies, correlations, and patterns within an enormous set of data to make predictions of future outcomes. Data mining uses broad techniques that organizations or governments use to cut costs, increase the revenue level, reduce the level of risks, and enhance customer relationships, among others. Data mining is the composition of three major disciplines which are Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, and Machine Learning.  The concept of data mining was developed in the 1990s after the three disciplines were intertwined (Lu et al., 2017). The processing speed and power have significantly advanced over the past two decades were tedious, time-consuming, and manual data mining practices have been replaced (Lu et al., 2017). More complex sets of data are being analyzed by banks, retailers, telecommunication providers, and manufacturers to find the relationship that exists between various issues like price optimization, demographics or promotions, and competition, risk, or social media.
