It is because Affirmative Action is only applicable only if the hired staff is qualified for the underlying roles. Although the modern working environment has significantly evolved, some employees and minor groups continue to encounter discrimination and profiling at the workplace. The corporate leaders’ attitudes have interfered with the effective execution of the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action (Shabalala, 2018). Therefore, for those firms hiring underqualified personnel, the cause is the poor leadership within the company.
