Answer preview

However, the underlying risk of groupthink in an organization can be more detrimental than a homogenous labor force. Groupthink does not focus on the rubrics of an issue. Instead, it focuses on the contentment of every group member with the final decision. This issue often comes about where the group members are under pressure to create cohesion in the group (Bang & Frith, 2017). Therefore, everyone tends to concur with the decisions of other members without substantively discerning its effectiveness or effect on the operation of the group. Groupthink often minimizes the chances of conflict within a group because every member gets their way without being put under criticism to give proper reasoning for their decisions and how they will impact the group (Bang & Frith, 2017). An organization with set goals and objectives runs the risk of failing to attain the same if it is affected by groupthink within its various processes.
