Leader B used an authoritative leadership style. Authoritative leadership entails a management style where the leader completely controls the situation. The leader was actively involved in the processes and did oversee all the steps to ensure the organizational goals and objectives were achieved. The leader used assertiveness to influence the team to take the various steps necessary to achieve the organization’s goals. However, it did not work in areas where the team was required to manage their tasks. Leader B employs the strategy of rational persuasion, in which logical arguments are presented to persuade others to achieve the goals. The individuals often felt micromanaged, affecting the morale of the employees. To make the best-informed decisions, it is essential to critically appraise the situation. The ideal approach is to rationally assess the circumstance and employ an appropriate strategy.
