Intimate partner violence IPV refers to domestic violence by a current or former spouse against the other one. It may take several forms, such as psychological, physical, sexual, and or verbal. It is characterized by coercion, aggression, and a controlling habit or tendency from either spouse. As per research studies, men are the most perpetrators of these intimate crimes (Lee, Bright, & Betz, 2020).
