Analysis of the results for three research questions highlights different themes and concepts, including inexperienced, a major skills gap for transitions, unique learner’s needs (individualized learning plan), lower level of job satisfaction, challenging environment, Tech-savvy, and access to resources. The researcher relied on the research question to identify the themes and subthemes. The interview questions were the parent code which guided the processing of common patterns from the participant’s responses.
Theme 1# Online Teaching Competence
The first objective was to understand physical education teachers’ online teaching competencies and how they influence their experiences in the sessions in terms of the student population they can engage in and meet the desired objectives. The participants answered seven interview questions that relate to this question. The questions covered competence in the use of technology, training on online teaching, task complexity each day, interesting and challenging aspects of the sessions, and student participation. The researcher observed each participant’s quality of teaching and experiences in their interaction with different learners.
