The aim of bargaining collectively in unions is to promote employees’ human dignity, liberty, and autonomy within companies. The staff members I represented felt oppressed at certain aspects of the work setting; thus, I ensured that better contracts, workplace conditions, and wages were provided at the end of the negotiation. However, from experience, the collective bargaining process is endless and does not stop after both parties agree on a conclusion.
