Some of the strategies that can be applied to overcome the barriers mentioned above are as follows. one strategy to address the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on advanced practice nursing is improving the working conditions for the nurses. The nurses, like other professionals, are entitled to safer and more suitable workplace conditions. Secondly, the state and federal governments should introduce policies for expanding nurse practitioner roles to coincide with their training. The nurse practitioners’ roles should be expanded to reach vulnerable populations of patients with more affordable care. Moreover, nurses should not work under the supervision of physicians as they are currently required.
