As mentioned in the first part of the paper, perceptions of a good and effective leader are pretty subjective. This aspect then means that there is a place for people to exercise different leadership approaches. This diversity is critical, considering leaders have different types of followers with different expectations and needs (Datiles, 2019). Due to this, having a single approach to leadership will be ineffective.
What would the world look like with the same leader?
Having one leader for the whole world would be catastrophic. This is because the world is not homogenous but rather very diverse. People ascribe to different cultural practices, norms, values, and beliefs. Moreover, since culture influences a person’s worldview, such variances will make it hard for people to have similar leadership expectations and needs. Therefore, one leader will find it challenging to satisfy all persons, which will lead to disappointments and inadvertently revolt against the leader.
